El Greco is one of the most renowed artists in Toledo. Born in Crete in 1540-1541- He trained and became a master in Italy and arrived to this city, where he lived and worked until his death.

This tour starts with the visit of the Convent of Santo Domingo el Antiguo, with his firts painting in Toledo. This temple was the burial place for this artist.

In Santo Tomé Church there is his masterpiece: The Burial of Lord of Orgaz. Moreover, this painting has been considered like one of the best ones of all the history of paintings.

In this tour we should include the Cathedral too, because in the Sacristy are shown, between paintings of other renowed artists, one great collection of paintins by El Greco, like one complete set of the twelve Apostles, the Disrobing of Christ or the Tears of Saint Peter.
